Theater Marquees
Looking for something bold, ornate, and unforgettable? A custom marquee gives your venue a timeless identity and turns heads for decades. Whether you're restoring a historic theater or building something new, Flexlume handles the design, fabrication, and installation from start to finish.

A Lasting First Impression
A marquee is more than just lighting and letters, it’s a symbol of your venue’s legacy. If you manage a historic theater, local entertainment space, or nonprofit cultural hub, the right design brings character to your building and visibility to your events.
Since 1904, we’ve been designing and fabricating marquees—working with historic buildings, structural challenges, and local permitting rules. We build from scratch or restore existing frames, always with attention to detail. Many of our marquee clients are nonprofits, theater boards, or architects using grant funding, and we guide them through key decisions like lighting, placement, and budget.

Bold Presence
We create marquees that stand out, with chasers, flashers, and lighting options to fit the building and the brand.

Built to Fit
Custom-built to match your facade, shape, or structure. We work with architects and engineers to ensure a proper fit.

Modern & Classic Options
Choose from vintage-inspired designs or modern styles that preserve the look but bring reliability.

East Coast Reach
From Buffalo to NYC, Philly to Pittsburgh, we build, install, and maintain marquees across the East Coast.
Applications
We serve historic theaters, performing arts venues, and community gathering spaces, especially in small towns where the marquee is part of the local identity. Here are a few of the projects we’ve completed.

Case Study: Angola Theatre
After decades of disrepair, the Angola Theatre marquee needed more than a facelift. It needed a full rebuild. Flexlume worked closely with the new owners to design and fabricate a replica of the original 1924 marquee, combining classic features with modern LED chasers and digital message centers.
The new marquee now lights up Main Street again, bringing energy back to the venue and excitement to the community.
