Custom Monument Sign for Armor IIMAK | Flexlume

Project Background

The acquisition of IIMAK by the Armor Group necessitated a company-wide rebranding.  As a result of this, the new logo and branding standards had to be implemented at their Amherst, NY facilities.   A range of signs, including the monument sign in the front of the facility had to be updated, as well as adding and/or updating a number of directional signs to spruce up the campus.

Additionally, the company's ownership wanted a bold new custom monument sign at the entrance to their facility to show off the new ARMOR IIMAK logo, and enhance visibility for employees and visitors.

Key Challenges

The ARMOR IIMAK facility in Amherst, NY presented several challenges based on site and project requirements for this corporate sign package:

• The corporate logo needed to be updated cleanly on the building facade to reflect the new branding, but access to the facade was limited.
• The corporate campus spanned multiple parcels of land with several buildings, creating a complex permitting process.

Solution Proposed

The ARMOR IIMAK sign package included a mix of sign types designed to support both branding and navigation:

• A custom monument sign featuring a post and panel structure with 3D channel letters on a bright white background to emphasize the updated brand identity.
• Custom halo-lit channel letters and logo signage for the building facade.
  
• A selection of post and panel wayfinding signs.

Outcome

The new  corporate sign installation was completed in the summer of 2024, on time and on budget, enabling ARMOR IIMAK to celebrate the merger and its future opportunities. The updated brand identity also improved visibility across the campus for employees and visitors.
