In summer 2021, up-and-coming golf ball manufacturer OnCore Golf opened new headquarters in Buffalo, NY, and chose Flexlume to design and install high-impact golf signage that would reflect their growing national brand.
Located on Elm Street with strong visibility from local interstates, the new facility offered an opportunity to amplify OnCore’s brand presence in the Buffalo market.
OnCore’s brand identity has been carefully cultivated since the company's inception, with continued growth in the golf space, including the adoption of their ball by several well-known professional golf tour players. Their signage needed to reflect the same level of creativity, quality, and performance as their products.
In addition to presenting and maintaining the brand equity of OnCore Golf, this golf signage package presented a series of technical and logistical challenges:
The different elements of the logo and text needed to appear to "float" off the face of a building with an aging brick face that may or may not be painted at some point.
The sign was positioned four stories above ground, directly over an outbuilding that blocked equipment staging beneath the install site.
All access had to come from a high-traffic main street, as cranes and lifts couldn’t be staged in the adjacent parking lot.
Flexlume engineered and fabricated a 20-foot-wide LED-illuminated custom channel letter sign at its Buffalo facility. To deliver the desired floating effect and simplify wiring and installation, the logo and lettering were mounted on two independent raceways.

Because of careful planning and coordination with all involved, from the City of Buffalo to the building owners to the leadership of OnCore Golf, the project went smoothly and efficiently from start to finish. Today, it serves as a bold and visible landmark across the Buffalo skyline, delivering lasting brand presence for one of the most innovative names in golf.
